What you need to know about our operations during this time.

We hope you are staying safe and well during these unprecedented times and our hearts go out to the thousands of families around the world who have lost their loved ones. As we move thorough this pandemic know we will support the medical guidelines of practicing physical distancing and will continue to be vigilant to do our part to flatten the curve.

Newfoundland and Labrador Re-opening plan:

Open to Atlantic Canada provinces visitors July 3rd with no quarantine period.

No Update on opening to the rest of Canada or international clients. We are taking booking for Sept. 2020 and beyond for those interested with no trip deposit required.

On new bookings

For our multi-day tours; Land & Sea, Hiking Adventure and Bucket List Tours, we require a $200 deposit upon booking. This deposit is refundable within 7 days of booking and non-refundable after that time if you choose to cancel. Should a tour be cancelled or not accessible due to travel restrictions, the deposit is fully refundable or can be applied to a 2021 booking.Our payment guidelines are requiring the 50% payment for the tour to be paid 30 days prior to the tour start date, instead of the previous 60 days. This will give our guests more time to make informed decisions for their tour.

Our single day experiences; Signature Day Hike, Cultural Explorer Day Trip and, Taste of Gros Morne Food Tours, do require a deposit. On previous bookings

We are continuing with our full refund policy should you not be able to travel on your confirmed dates due to imposed travel restrictions. If this is your case, we are encouraging you to re-book for 2021 and are offering a price match for all experiences and tours booked in 2020 for delivery in 2021. If you would like to transfer your deposit to the same week next year that booking will be available.

For those of you that are concerned about travel and are not currently affected by travel restrictions i.e. booked for late July, August and September, October these tours will go ahead on a case by case basis. WE are working to have tours with only those you are travelling with instead of mixed groups. We are working on new protocol to manage this within our tours and reduce the risk for all guests and staff. All tour will require a Covid-19 survey to be completed within 24 hours of arrival.  Please contact us if you have any concerns and we will be following up with you.

Tour Gros Morne does recommend that all of our guests invest in medical and trip cancellation insurance policies to protect them while travelling. We also suggest reviewing the active COVID-19 clauses prior to your insurance purchase.


We feel our operations were built for this! Our tours are purpose built custom tours for couples, families and small groups up to 6. We are in the 3rd largest national park in eastern Canada and opposite of other national parks in terms of visitation and crowds. Our guests often say it feels like they have a park to themselves and that will continue to be. We have two, 15 passenger leather seated vans to handle our guests and luggage therefore giving lots of space with a through cleaning of the entire van daily. While we will be adjusting our tours to allow for single tours or just couples, we also will be looking at other ways to make sure your safety and needs are met. This is no different than our usual care and attention for all our guests that has made us an award winning operation.
