Enjoy the artistic side with a cultural experience in Gros Morne National Park

What to expect...

On this full day experience 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, we explore a specific community in the park and dig deeper to understand life in the community. This is where you get the true stories and meet the local "characters" and artists. Learn what has kept people here and why some have returned from away. Each day trip features a guided and interpreted walk or hike on a community or Parks Canada trail, lunch either packed or at a local spot and visit local artist studio(s) along with a demonstration.

Communities that are featured are Norris Point, Rocky Harbour, Woody Point and Trout River. Includes transportation, lunch and snacks, guided walk and artists demonstration. All artist are local and renowned at their craft.

Gros Morne Central - Walk the Burnt Hill Trail in Norris Point, visit the Bonne Bay Marine Aquarium and Kiln Glass making workshop at the Glass Gallery in Rocky Harbour.


Gros Morne South - Walk the Tablelands and explore the charming fishing village of Trout River, hike the Eastern Point Trail.

Gros Morne North - Boat tour on Western Brook Fjord, learn about the fishing heritage at Broom Point Fishing exhibit. Walk back millennia and find fossils at Green Point geological site. Learn about the coastal landscape and local musical history at Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse.


•  Gros Morne South - Hike the Tablelands or the Little Lookout trail with panoramic views of the park. Explore the Discovery Center and take an Artist Studio Tour, folk art, rug hooking, quilting, and fine art in Woody Point.
