CULTURAL EXPLORER TOURS
Immerse yourself in local history and art with a cultural experience in Gros Morne National Park!
The Cultural Explorer Tour is an excellent way to get an insider’s perspective into the rich history, tradition and artistic inspiration of the residents of Gros Morne.
During this full-day experience, we explore a specific park community and steep ourselves in daily life. Each trip features a scenic 1-to 6-km community trail hike or walk, lunch at a local café or a custom-packed lunch, and a visit to an artist’s studio.
We offer three unique day trip options:

Hike the Tablelands or the Little Lookout trail - with panoramic views of the park! Explore the Discovery Centre, then tour an Artist’s Studio in Woody Point, featuring folk art, rug hooking, quilting, and fine art.

Hike the Tablelands, then explore the fishing community of Trout River. Walk along the community boardwalk and hike Eastern Point Trail, with panoramic views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Walk back in time and investigate the rocks and fossils at Green Point geological site. Explore breathtaking Western Brook Pond Fjord on a guided boat tour. Learn about coastal life and the musical history of Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse.
